To make your Xronos Clock work you will need a phone charger with a USB port that fits the cable that was in the package. Verify that it is rated 2A or higher.
You will need the xronos smartphone app to connect the clock to wifi and to change the colors. The app can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Once the app is up and running and the clock is on, the app will automatically connect to the clock via bluetooth.
The Xronos logo will light in blue to indicate that it is connected.
From there, the first thing to do is to connect to WiFi. Click on the button to go to the wifi setup page.
The app will display the WiFi networks in range. Pick yours and enter your password. WiFi connection is necessary for the clock to read the current time with great accuracy.
If WiFi goes off for any reason, the clock will continue to tell time but it may drift by a few seconds per week. When WiFi communication is lost, the XRONOS logo on the clock will be Yellow.
Changing colors for day and night is done simply by clicking on the respective buttons and then using the RGB sliders.
When the app connects to the clock, it also gives it your GPS location. This is used, together with the date/time to figure when the sun rises and sets, in order to transition the night/day colors.
You can also select the time zone. This ensures that the clock will automatically change the time in the fall and spring.
There are buttons on the app to change the tone and volume for the chime. By default, the clock will ring the hours, and also each quarter. To disable the chimes, turn the volume down, or all the way to zero.
We hope that these instructions were easy to follow and you will be very happy with your Xronos clock in your home or office.
